Got Decisions?

Just stop it.

Stop what?

Stop all the excuses and justifications that are holding you back from experiencing true success in your life!

Everyone I know makes excuses to not perform as they should be in some area of their life. It is a completely personal choice where we want to offer these excuses in our life. Most, however, pertain to areas we don’t really want to give up. By this I am particularly referring to addictions and crutches we use to cope.

We all use some form, somewhere within our life. For some it is cigarettes. For others it is alcohol. Some use food as a source of comfort. Some delve into gambling and others attach themselves into bad relationships just to feel comfortable and safe. Many men turn to pornography and sex, possibly some women too.

Do you want to keep using these numbing behaviors and excuses you tell yourself to justify them? Do you want to stay in the same place? Do you even see that these life destructive behaviors are slowly killing you?

There is a big decision that really needs to be made and I wholeheartedly recommend that you actually make the decision and not let your life default into a position of wherever the cards may fall.

That may be one of the most difficult sentences that you will ever hear and have to face. You might want to read it again.

Even in my own life I am right now facing the big decision and I can feel the fear knocking.

It seems to be a time for big decisions right now. Everything is changing. The world is being turned upside down and you are part of the world. Pick a spot of your choosing to land or you will have to settle for wherever the wind blows you. This is a choice.

One problem I see is the simple fact that typically most people can’t decide on what they want. This is definitely an obstacle because it lends to having your decision moment pass into the default realm. This can sometimes work out pretty good but really I think it depends on your awareness levels and where you are in life.

Reminds me of a somewhat related story about the preacher who was stuck on the roof of his house during a massive flood. With water up to the roofline it was a desperate situation. A man in a boat came by and pleaded with him to get in but the preacher refused saying God would save him. After a while a second boat came by and once again offered to have him get on board but the preacher was persistent and refused saying God would save him. Finally a helicopter swung over the house and the rescue people let down the rope ladder but the preacher refused and sent them on their way saying that God would save him. Ultimately the water level rose above the roof and the preacher drowned. The man then went to heaven and he was able to ask God “what happened you were supposed to save me?” To which God replied “ I sent two boats and a helicopter why didn’t you get in?”

Sometimes we just don’t have a clue.

Another big issue around decision making is fear. The fear freezes you into indecision. What if you choose wrong? What if it is a huge disaster and you lose? This is really the biggest culprit, so let’s take a look at it.

My question is: What is it you will lose?

Is it your life? Your wife? The love of your children? Or is it your piece of property? Your car? or your social status? Is it your money you might lose? Or your security blanket?

What is it that you think you will lose by making the worst decision you could possibly make in your entire life. Does all this actually hinge on one single decision or has this been a series of small decisions over the course of days, months or years that has led you to this place of desperation where you think the balance of your life now hangs by a mere thread.

The truth is we all face decisions everyday that culminate and compound over the course of time. When the decisions you make are consistently errors in judgment it takes you to a place of desperation and despair. Ultimately you may not be able to save what you might lose but we can learn a better way in the future.

The way to prevent finding yourself in this low place is to cultivate an awareness of where the daily decisions you make are taking you. Are they steering you to a wonderful and successful life or are they taking you to a suffering place. Are you reclaiming your power or are you giving it away? Everyday we choose heaven or hell, the problem is that most people don’t realize what they are choosing or that a choice has even been made. One consolation is also the fact that if we realize we made a bad decision we can easily make another decision to rectify the first. It really is that simple! Do not be afraid to make a decision . You can always make another the next day if you feel it is not going well.

We also tend to get confused and backwards perspectives a lot of the time because we just can’t see correctly from our low perspective. The things we think are pleasurable and heaven like really are the opposite. For example, take cigarettes. People who smoke all have a tendency to associate the act with pleasure but this makes no sense because in truth cigarettes and tobacco are poison to the body. I don’t think a sane person would decide that anti freeze for your car was a good liquid to drink. That’s a poison too. I don’t see much of a difference between the two personally. Might as well go suck on a car muffler if you want to smoke. Does the same thing, doesn’t it?

Bad choices, poor thoughts and bad habits are killing you, so make the decision now to just stop.

Whatever area it may be for you!

JUST STOP it!

And then at the same time, start cultivating awareness of your daily decisions and ask yourself if they are taking you to a place you want to be!

Question EveryTHINK!

Passion, belief and conviction!

Passion, belief and conviction will generate success and open new levels of being.

You cannot be successful if you have no passion, belief or conviction in what you are doing. It is only performance to a level of mediocrity that will be accomplished without these crucial ingredients.

So do what you love and share it with the world!

To get to your passion, belief and conviction you might have to travel through some of the existing beliefs and convictions you have already and evaluate their usefulness.

One example would be in the area of finance and abundance. I know that you are worthy and deserving of unlimited abundance and prosperity but do you?

If you do not have the belief and conviction that you are deserving, capable and worthy of riches and wealth then most likely those items will not be in your life in a positive way.

It is the vibration of your being that attracts like and similar vibrations.

The way to focus and vibrate correctly is through the art of feeling.

It is how and what you feel that will be the gauge of what you attract and experience in your life. So if this is true, it would be very important to feel good. Feeling good would be a call to the universe and to your self that you want good experiences and good things in your life.

The action call today would be for you to consciously set a feeling within and cultivate it to fruition in your life. You can do this with quite a few different feelings.

Ask yourself “What does joy feel like?”
Now focus on the feeling that is generated and add to it. Strengthen it, build it, cultivate it, so it grows stronger and stronger, then sit in it for as long as you can. After practicing this technique you should be able to more easily recall the feeling and hold onto it more and more. The result will be a life full of much more joy and peace. You see it cannot be any other way.

Next you could use the same technique to cultivate the following “What does harmony and cooperation feel like?”

Or “What does love and peace feel like?” or “What does abundance and wealth feel like?”

Any desired feeling could be cultivated and strengthened through this process. For me the ultimate question that I love to vibrate with is simply “What does God feel like?”. I then experience the amazing results!

Try it and realize, life only gets better!
This will help you vibrate with and focus on the energy and feelings you truly desire.

Love and blessings,

Gavin

Not as Dumb as i Look

“I am not as dumb as I look, but I have surely found out I am not as smart as I think I am either.”
- Gavin Anderson

I am almost convinced that a secret in life is “Don’t Think”.

I believe the reality of that statement is in the actual fact that most typical and daily thoughts that I and others may be thinking are faulty at their foundation. They stem from bad beliefs. In other words a thought based on a foundation of illusion is worthless and can’t possibly be correct but people will fight to the end to defend that thought or point of view because they believe it to be true. So true, in fact, that they have built their house on it. If they admit it is illusion, the house falls. (exactly like our USA economy right now- total illusion, Watch it fall!)

Even after you come to the realization that you cannot figure it out on your own, you still bang your head against the wall trying and insisting that you should be able to. Why?

It is these expectations and “shoulds” that you would be wise in eradicating. They are your false images of what your life should be according to you. Every time you find a discrepancy between what you think your life should be and how it really is, is a time you suffer. You suffer not because of the reality but because it doesn’t match your expectation.

Could we possibly live with no expectations? Could we live without judgments? Could we actually accept life as it really is and not try to image it into our little mold? Could we let perfection be perfect?

I have come to some answers that seem to be true.

1) I don’t know the answers ( always a humbling moment! The real answer is you can’t know the answers through your intellect but the good news is you and I don’t ever really have to! Please start accepting it, it is alright not knowing, just follow the heart and you will realize.)

2) I am not the Judge ( this is where most people over step their boundaries, I KNOW I WAS in this particular area, for some reason it has taken me some serious hard knocks to realize that this is not my job, I believe the ego inflates our own image of self importance, keep a watchful eye on yours. It is not your responsibility to judge right or wrong… let it be. When people want help they will ask for it.)

3) I only have to work on myself to help others (prove your self truth and everything else falls in place)

4) Forgetting is a blessing and a curse ( I think most of us can understand this one, sometimes it feels difficult to know and realize truth, forgetting and denial are easier. I personally take solace in the words of Jesus “my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. I already have experienced and know this statement as truth but when the wind blows with hurricane force, it helps as a reminder.)

5) Walk with God ( in this state of realization and being you will never take a wrong turn and never ever worry or regret a moment, align your self now to connect, walk, dance, play, run and live with God in every moment and you are free)

Start reflecting on these and see what comes to you.

Hope it helps

Peace,
Gavin

True Guidance

10/27/09

What is it all about?

What is the point? What is the purpose?

Can life be fun?

Does it always have to be so much work?

The answer is sometimes. Indeed sometimes it does call for work. Sometimes it does call for play. Sometimes it calls for relaxing. Sometimes it calls for rest and sometimes it calls for action and persistence. Once we realize that we encompass the full spectrum of life with all it’s different emotions/feelings , thoughts , actions and beliefs, we can start to sort it out.

Take a look inside and see if you can’t separate out all the pieces that make you, you.

Go through your feelings and evaluate them. Do you feel good? Is there a nagging that is tugging at you? What is it?

Are you feeling unhappy? If so, where are you feeling unhappy?

Evaluate the different areas. Is it your relationship? Is it your location? Is it your finances? Is it stress at work? Is it your home life? Is it your body? Is it your friends?

Where are these feelings coming from and what is it exactly that you feel?

Now once you have thoroughly reflected upon, looked at, internalized and evaluated your feelings, here is the big question. What can be done to make the feelings you do not like different?

Here is the point of change, but be careful and do not think you can get out of the messes you made with the same mind that got you there.

This is the point where you have to surrender to your higher self. You see there is a very simple way to think about this.

Life is like a journey through a giant maze. There are twists and turns with miles and miles of maze to walk through. The walls are impenetrable and give no clue, you cannot see through them or over them or around them. All you can do is keep walking and searching and keep hoping that you are going the right way. Every time you hit a dead end all you can do is turn around and trudge back to some other point to head a different way.

Is this really the way it is or has to be?

This is the way it is for most people but it is not the way it has to be.

The key to your own help is your higher self. You see your higher self has a different perspective. Your higher self looks down from above and can see the path you are on. Your higher self can look ahead and see where the path you are on will lead.

From your small perspective within the maze you see almost nothing but you are somehow determined to keep pushing through from that low perspective. This can be quite demoralizing and fatiguing. Dead end after dead end, wrong turn after wrong turn. Just hoping for some sign that you are headed in a good direction and that you haven’t been wandering the same path for the last ten years, going round and round, going nowhere.

With just the simple intent to connect to your higher self you could find the correct path!

But that is not the end, it is just the beginning. The obstacles and pitfalls throughout the maze are still along the path but with the correct guidance you could easily overcome and get around all the difficulties that may lay in the way.

The key is to actually listen for, receive and follow the directions that come to you.

If for instance you have been wandering around the maze hitting dead ends and walking in circles for the last year or so until you finally get so disgusted You actually stop and get still and ask, “Help me where do I go.”

You would hear the answered whispered “ why don’t you climb that small wall right there to your left”

You could look to your left and realize that there was a small wall that is scalable and you could get into a new area.

The problem would be that some people would believe that they couldn’t make it over the wall so they would continue going in circles on the same path they have been on. Literally ignoring the guidance they asked for earlier.

The moral is get connected to a higher perspective, your heavenly self, and have the wisdom to follow the guidance you receive.

Trust! Would you lead yourself wrong? Your higher heavenly self won’t but your lower ego self does all the time and then it lies about it and you think everything is ok.

Ask for wisdom, guidance and discernment to know truth.

God bless,
Gavin
